FractionQuest | Magnetic Fraction Puzzle Set

quality and easy to use. I love how bright this set is, the magnets stick well, and the activity sheets allows learners to put their knowledge into practice. I would highly recommend this for every parents or teachers looking for a fun and effective way to teach fractions to kids. It's a great way to make learning more visual and engaging.

important. It has a hard cover, so it's not easy to bend or crack. Easy to store, completely portable. It's magnetic, and it also comes with a bag so you can store all the cardboard pieces and prevent them from getting lost and of course carry with you.

don't know about you, but fractions were always the hardest part of math for me and my boys. I wish there was a neat little setup like this when they were kids. Fortunately, Grandma is all set and ready to go to teach fractions to my grandbabies! This set comes with everything you need to make learning fractions a breeze!

that certain denominators were skipped--like 7 (maybe it has something to do with ease of equations in another section of the product). There is space for different equations that you could use the manipulatives to work on as well. It comes with a wipe off card and a wipe off marker that you can use to answer questions and practice things. There is also a thin bag where you can store all of the fraction magnets. This is useful for us and I think will be very good as we start to learn more and more about fractions.

game. The set includes magnetic pieces that show how fractions work using different shapes and tile sizes. It lets kids physically move pieces around, compare sizes, and see how fractions fit together. That hands-on approach makes the concepts a lot easier to understand. In my opinion, this is a great learning tool for kids and even adults who want to refresh their fraction skills in a fun, visual way. Overall, I think this is a great educational toy. Thumbs up from us.

loved poking the pieces out and putting them onto the board. While it’s not intended for his age group, he still enjoyed it. As someone who has worked in classrooms where students are learning fractions and this tool would be a great way to compare fractions and visualize how they work. The long pieces also have the percentage and decimal written on it to make those connections as well. I highly recommend this as a tool for UNDERSTANDING how fractions work.

or broken at all. It's the perfect size for kids to use and the bright colors help different fractions stand out. I love how the tiles can be moved around to show how different fractions are similar and different. It's definitely worth the money!

magnets are made out of a sturdy cardboard material -- but I would still not use water around it to ensure it lasts. The pieces come out very cleanly and store nicely on the board book when closed without falling out. The book is a good size for little hands and the print is colorful and vivid in person. It does not look or feel cheap. I think it's worth the cost of $18.88, the current cost at the time of this review. I would recommend this to any parent as a supplemental learning tool.

the quality is really good for the price. my son didn’t put this down for 3 days and already lost two magnets but it was so worth it.

circles are great for hands-on learning and allow my son to physically manipulate the pieces, making abstract math concepts much easier to grasp. The set comes with a wide range of pieces, which makes it versatile for various fraction exercises. My son finds it much easier to visualize how fractions work when he can see and move the pieces around on the magnetic board. It really brings the subject to life and helps him understand concepts like equivalency, adding/subtracting fractions, and finding common denominators in a more interactive way. Another great feature is that the pieces are durable and easy to store, so we don’t have to worry about losing them. The bright colors and clear labeling make it a fun and engaging educational tool. We’ve been using it regularly, and I’ve already noticed an improvement in my son’s ability to handle fractions more confidently. I would highly recommend this for any parent or teacher looking for a fun and effective way to teach fractions to kids. It’s a great way to make learning more visual and engaging, and it’s also a helpful tool for anyone who struggles with fractions!

curriculum until next year, but this is a great way for him to get some exposure to the concept before more formal instruction. As for the quality of this set, it is surprisingly sturdy. “Made in China” can be a mixed bag, but this is very well made. The magnets are strong enough to easily adhere to the little booklet. It is also very helpful to have the outlines printed on the booklet, which helps kids find equivalent fractions. Decimal and percentage equivalents are another great detail that makes this set a valuable educational tool. The overall quality is good enough that this could probably even be used for a math center in a school setting. I do wish it was just a little bit bigger, as the smallest pie fraction pieces are quite tiny, and I expect will be prone to getting lost. But on the whole, this is an excellent set worth adding to your education toolbox.

The magnets have a good hold and do not slide or shift when the booklet is moved, even in an upright position.

that are easy to punch out. I love that it also shows the equivalent decimal and percentages to fractions. I was able to create a game for my daughter, asking her to make fractions out of various percentages and decimals. She seemed to think it was fun and liked the hands on approach. I will say that the front cover makes it appear that it is aimed for younger kids. It could be used as a way to introduce fractions, but it also is versatile and allows for reinforcement for older grades/middle school. For the price, this is an excellent value and an excellent teaching tool. It is sturdy and looks like it will last the school year, I am happy to have it to help us along!

size and you could easily take it with you places. It would easily fit into a backpack. Definitely worth the money!! My only worry is that I might lose some of the pieces. If I decide to take it with me someplace I might place all of the pieces in a ziplock bag to keep them safe!

pieces smaller than the top digit of my pinky. Still, I think it’s a useful demonstrative for when the kids are learning fractions, decimals and percentages.

overall value for the price. The only downside is making sure you don't lose the little pieces.

it is a little small for my hands but perfect for a child. It is magnetic, so it makes the product easy to keep together. My favorite part of it is the quality and simplicity of the item itself, it folds up into a booklet kind of fold and is easy to carry around without a mess because of the strength of the magnet. The colors are also easy to distinguish and makes it easy to figure out which parts go to which whole. Overall this is a great tool to assist with learning of fractions, and I’d recommend it.

bring with you. Both the linear and pie chart side are magnetic so the fraction pieces stay in place. They are pumped to play with it and learn their fractions. It’s nice and brightly presented and well organized. Each side has a black and white breakdown of the line or circle with the fraction written. The magnetic pieces come on a page and pop out easily. Then put them in their spot of the book.

design + High contrast with each fraction piece made it easy to compare and explain to my kiddo + Nice overall build quality

magnet is a bit weaker than I'd like, making the pieces slide around pretty easily. It's not a deal-breaker though since these are pieces I anticipate manipulating a lot during a lesson. So maybe the more easily they move, the better.

fractions can be reduced (ie.. 4/6 = 2/3). The flash cards gives some practice. I also like how the cards will show the value of fractions as a decimal (ie.. 1/3 = 0.3333…) Overall I think this is a great educational tool that helps with the development of essential skills. The “book” is magnetic and there is a preprinted placed for all the “Pie” pieces and “bar” pieces to be organized. The flashcards and booklet cover are all dry-erase compatible. The only Con I can think of is that there are no spare pieces and its pretty easy to loose some if you are not careful.

of the book. This is a great tool to assist my children visually as we move into fractions. Love the quality and the vibrant colors! I also didn’t notice that percents were listed so that is a plus!

they're in the bag it's too thick to fit inside the folder. If you only have the magnets inside the folder (all in their places), then the folder is too thin for the magnet closure to work. If you add the workbook pages, it fits great, but they will fall out is you hold the folder upright. I can't figure out where to store the dry erase marker with it, either. Point being, upon first glance it looks like it will be perfectly self contained and that's just not the case. I love the workbook problems combined with the manipulatives to figure them out. Super helpful!

make it a fun way to learn. I highly recommend this just for that fact that it kept me as an adult engaged too. Perfect for kids with ADHD.
